You should take pride in your college degree but not everyone who has one works in their chosen field of study and not every degree program leads to a good-paying job. In fact, some of the highest paying jobs available out there have no degree requirements whatsoever. So if you’re looking to make good money, but don’t want the hassle or expense of going to school, take note of these eight good-paying jobs that don’t require a college degree.

1) Welder
You don't have to go through four years of college, four years of undergraduate studies, or even one year of postgraduate study to make six figures. In fact, you can work with your hands and get paid handsomely without ever completing a degree program at all. Welder salaries are some of the most lucrative with no degree required. They're also in demand. The U.S. Department of Labor reports that welder jobs will continue to increase.

2) Home Health Aide
A home health aide can help people with everyday tasks such as bathing, cooking, and cleaning. Most of the time, you need to be at least 18 years old in order to apply for this position. If you're at least 18 and healthy, then this is one of the best good-paying jobs that doesn't require a degree that are out there!

3) Network Systems and Data Communications Analyst
Network Systems and Data Communications Analysts analyze, design, develop, implement, troubleshoot and evaluate networks. They also monitor networks to ensure they are operating correctly. The top pay for this job is $85,000 per year. It requires no degree or certification! However, some employers might require degrees in math, engineering or computer science. For most, experience is pretty much all that it takes. Each company is different.

4) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT Paramedic)
EMTs provide much of the frontline trauma care in America. They do not need a degree to do it, but they do need an Emergency Medical Technician certification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). You can earn this certification by completing an EMT training course at one of two levels - EMT-B or EMT-P. With no degree, you can still make $36,000/year as an entry level paramedic and $56,000/year or more as a paramedic when you gain years of experience.

5) Computer Support Specialist/Technician ( Help Desk )
Help desk technicians provide customer support services by troubleshooting problems via telephone and computer. They also train people on how to use software programs, set up hardware, maintain IT networks and infrastructure, as well as repair PCs. The average annual salary for this position is $38,000-$48,000 or more per year with no degree required. The benefits of being a help desk technician are: One can work in many locations--at home; at an office; and/or at remote sites, flexible hours--most work 8 hours but some work 4 hours, and the ability to earn higher salaries after gaining experience.

Keep in mind that some companies may require certain types of certifications as it pertains to these jobs. However, most do not require a degree. Do your research. More than likely, you'll do great in any field that you choose. We wish you well.
